Hoodia Diet Pill

There are many types of diet pills on the market today, from fat blockers and binders, carb blockers, metabolism boosters, and appetite suppressants. They all work in some form or fashion, depending on whether or not you incorporate the recommended lifestyle change. For example, if you take a fat binder, but eat more fat instead of cut back, you will make no progress at all.

So what type is the Hoodia diet pill? This pill is an appetite suppressant, and some have even said it will boost metabolism. The active ingredient comes from the hoodia gordonii plant mainly grown in South Africa. This plant has a long history of being used as an appetite suppressant, but has made its way to the U.S. in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Does it really control appetite? In a word – yes. The supplement contains a chemical that is normally produced by the body to shut off hunger. When ingested, the Hoodia diet pill causes the body to act as if you have just finished a meal.

Does the Hoodia diet pill increase metabolism? That is another story. I honestly don’t have any proof that it will or won’t. Metabolism is the body’s ability to more effectively burn calories, and I really only know of two methods to do this. First, increase your muscle mass. Muscle is the only thing that burns calories. Think of muscles as an engine and carbs and fats are the fuel. Second, perform cardiovascular exercise. This not only burns calories, but causes changes in the body’s hormonal balance causing increased metabolism.

Overall, using the Hoodia diet pill for weight loss is a very effective method and is understood to be safe. It is actually considered to be one of the best products to use. Before starting any weight loss plan, especially one where supplements or medications will be ingested, it is recommended that a physician be consulted, and if you do decide to try the Hoodia diet pill, be sure to obtain the product from a reputable manufacturer to be sure you don’t get under-dosed or fake goods.
